Laurie Ilgenfritz

Director

Laurie Ilgenfritz is the director of the Department of Defense STARBASE Louisiana program, sponsored by the 307th Bomb Wing of the Air Force Reserve Command at Barksdale Air Force Base. During her transition from Deputy Director to Executive Director, she assists the current Executive Director in the implementation and daily operations of the STARBASE Louisiana program, such as developing curriculum and materials, providing training and oversight to staff members, and maintaining purchasing, accountability, and management reports. She coordinates with AFRC channels, DoD program managers, 307 Bomb WG Command and leadership, as well as board members of STARBASE Louisiana, Inc. as needed to facilitate all facets of the STARBASE and STARBASE 2.0 programs.
Laurie Ilgenfritz was born in Washington D.C. and grew upon various military bases in country and overseas, but she has called Shreveport home since 1981. She is a Louisiana State certified teacher with over 26 years of classroom and administrative experience. She is happily married to her high school sweetheart and has two grown children.
